‘South Industrial Zone’ industrial technopark
This is the first technopark in Russia, the technological and business infrastructure of which creates a platform for the integrated development and maintenance of business projects in the field of stone dressing at all development stages. The Technopark is the area of the manufacturing workshop with the installed equipment for production purposes. This area is prepared (in engineering way) for leasing to small and medium businesses.
The type of the industrial technopark is brownfield (based on previously existing production sites provided with buildings, constructions and infrastructures which are under reconstruction and (or) current repair in accordance with the needs of the residents). Currently, in the Republic of Karelia a low level of natural resource processing is registered, as well as a high wear and tear of industrial infrastructure. Therefore, the creation of a stone dressing technopark allowed us to come up with a new direction for stone dressing on the basis of industries related with the extraction of block stone and its processing, including the industries using the gabbrodolerite (the outdated name is gabbro-diabase), i.e., full-crystalline fine-grained volcanic rock, as well as others rocks.
‘Karelia’ industrial technopark
As a part of the Individual development program for the Republic of Karelia, the design and construction of the industrial park with the name of ‘Karelia’ located in Petrozavodsk is carried out. At present, 3 industrial buildings with a total area of about 20 000 square meters are being designed. Three workshops with specializations in stone processing, woodworking and line assembling are planned to be put into operation in 2023. In order to include the ‘Karelia’ industrial technopark in the register of industrial technoparks, the design is executed in accordance with the State Standard - ‘Technoparks. Requirements’.
‘Onezhskaya Flotilla’ technopark
As a part of the national project, the design and construction of the ‘Onezhskaya Flotilla’ technopark located in Petrozavodsk is carried out. Nowadays, the industrial buildings with a total area of about 7 000 sq. m. are being designed. Workshops with a specialization in food production are planned to be put into operation in 2022.
